Dear AFGE Activist,

As we celebrate National Nurses Week, we take immense pride in the fact that AFGE represents over 50,000 dedicated nurses across the Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency, Bureau of Prisons, and other critical agencies.

Our union nurses at AFGE have been pivotal in amplifying the voices of nurses, winning important victories, and improving conditions across the federal government.

Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system, playing a critical role not only in routine care but also as frontline defenders during the pandemic. This year, we continue to honor and uplift the voices of our courageous nurses.

The daily commitment of nurses to provide essential health services to the American people does not go unnoticed. Thank you to all of our AFGE nurses for your commitment to service and for being an important part of our union.
