House Majority Leader Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer are reportedly planning to invite Netanyahu to speak to Congress.

John,

Right now, northern Gaza is experiencing a full-blown famine while the Israeli military is forcing Palestinians to evacuate Rafah before they invade. This comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet banned Al Jazeera, one of the only media outlets covering events on the ground in Gaza.

The Israeli government’s ethnic cleansing, forced starvation, genocide of Palestinians, and attacks on the free press are only getting worse — but Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer are reportedly planning to invite Netanyahu to speak to Congress.

This is hollow leadership from Schumer, who was just calling for Netanyahu to be removed from office as an "obstacle to peace" in March.

Obstacles to peace shouldn't get invites to address Congress — especially those actively carrying out a genocide.
