There is significant damage to homes, business, trees, electrical distribution infrastructure and facilities, primarily in the form of electrical lines and poles. Officials with the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)and Federal Emergency Management Agency have estimated that a total of 298 homes in Douglas County suffered damage, with 134 being destroyed. Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) has provided a very preliminary estimate damage cost of $3 million in Douglas County.
