[link removed] [[link removed]] Happy Teacher’s Appreciation Week, friend!

This week, I’m taking stock of the incredible work our teachers do to mold our youth.

I know many of us — myself included — were fortunate to have that one teacher who believed in us, who pushed us to become the best version of ourselves, who saw us.

For me, it was my fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Sheila Barron. Mrs. Barron taught me a standard of excellence, no excuses. She made me feel like she believed in me and that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to.

Our teachers do their very best for our students, often with insufficient resources. They deserve appreciation. Click below to share your story about a teacher who positively impacted your life → [[link removed]]

I can’t overstate the world of difference a good teacher can make in our lives. Good schools are at the core of safe and healthy neighborhoods, and we can’t have good schools without good teachers.

Teachers often wear many different hats. From serving as another parent to linking underserved children to much-needed resources and support, our teachers work tirelessly to keep our neighborhoods safe and healthy.

As a young person in school, it’s easy to take these things for granted. Most of us don’t realize just how impactful teachers are and how little they ask in return until years later.

That’s why on this Teacher’s Appreciation Week, I want to hear your stories.
