Upcoming Webinar: How to Give a Know Your Rights Training for Immigrant Communities

Early this year, ICE ramped up its community arrest operations in cities across the country, including New York, and threatened to continue ICE arrests, despite the drastic measures being taken to protect the general public from the spread of the coronavirus.

Join us for a Train the Trainer webinar that
prepares advocates, organizers, and allies to give Know-Your-Rights presentations to clients and community members.

On this webinar, you will learn how to train clients, community members, and others to invoke their rights and remain safe during an encounter with ICE. We will also cover the tactics that ICE agents use during arrests and how individuals can protect themselves. Additionally, we have added new training sections based on our monitoring of ICE arrests tactics— including ICE arrests at courthouses and car stops.

When: April 22, 2020 2pm-4pm EDT

Please note that this training is not open to members of the media or press, to prosecutors, law enforcement officials, and employees of the Department of Homeland Security.
