Dear John,

It has never been more clear why we do the work we do. Crisis of all
kinds—pollution, poverty, COVID-19—typically hit people of color,
immigrants, and low-income families harder than anyone else. The struggle
right now is real for all of us. Can you imagine how much more difficult
it is to be in someone else’s shoes?

In the early days of the COVID-19 crisis, we amplified the voices of the
hardest hit communities, connected with lawmakers on the right and the
left, and pressured Congress to pass immediate emergency legislation with
key provisions that put vulnerable communities first. But this crisis is
far from over, and people are still in danger. Can you help us keep up the
fight?

The impact of COVID-19 has not yet reached its peak. In the days, weeks,
and months ahead, we will continue to face not only a major public health
crisis, but a worsening economic crisis. Our federal, state, and local
leaders on both sides of the aisle are searching for long-term solutions
that put people back to work and rebuild our economy. The good news is
that Green For All has always had the answer: build an inclusive green
economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty. It’s literally our
mission statement!

We have an unprecedented opportunity to learn from one global crisis and
respond in a way that helps prevent the next (yes, I’m talking about the
climate crisis). But we only have one shot at this. If we miss this
opportunity to align our long-term economic stimulus efforts with our goal
to create a green economy tough enough to tackle the climate crisis and
pull people out of poverty, we won’t get another chance.

Now is exactly the moment to put everything on the line to create a future
for us all.

COVID-19 crisis and shape long-term economic recovery in a clean and green
direction.

Along with Dream Corps #cut50 and Dream Corps Tech, we sprung into action
as soon as the severity of the outbreak became clear with petitions,
letters to policymakers, and clear solutions sourced from the most
affected communities. All of Dream Corps programs are united by a
commitment to lifting up the voices and solutions of those who are
suffering most and too often forgotten by policymakers in both parties. We
rely on donors like you to help sustain this critical rapid response work.

[ [link removed] ]Can we count on your support? We need to continue our #FuelChange
campaign work to invest in clean, zero-emission transportation,
infrastructure, and mobility options that help underserved neighborhoods
access jobs, healthcare, and government services. We plan to expand our
fight to prevent utility shut-offs, stop evictions, and create millions of
green jobs. As Congress prepares a stimulus package that could lay the
groundwork for the next economy, we will ensure racial and economic
justice are front and center.

We know how to create good-paying green jobs and millions of them. We know
how to end racial disparities in exposure to pollution. We have the
connections with lawmakers and allies, artists and influencers, that we
need to change the conversation. And most of all, we have supporters like
you who know how urgent this moment is.

inclusive green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty.

Thank you for fighting alongside us,
