STOP THE BLEED® training is imperative for everyone. I teach in a rural school in Western Kentucky. Not only do we worry and want to prepare for the possibility of a school shooting, but there is a large number of farms in our county. Farming accidents can be fatal quickly if bleeding isn’t stopped. Plus, you never know when you may come upon a severe auto accident where you need to stop bleeding.
Training is at the heart of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and STOP THE BLEED® Instructors are the ones that make the heart beat! The Instructor Spotlight shines a bright light on individuals engaging their communities about STOP THE BLEED®.

The reason why STOP THE BLEED® is so important to me is multi-layered. My time in the Marines had an impact on that and losing friends to major bleeds. I am a father to three little kids and want to be as prepared as I can be to keep them safe. I want to be able to step in for all situations in which they would need emergency intervention to keep the blood in the vessel. I am also a safety professional in my day to day job. So I teach a variety of classes, not just STOP THE BLEED®, that pertain to keeping folks safe on the job. I am passionate about educating folks, so they are able to be their own keeper. I love the mission & vision and am excited to continue to spread the knowledge and awareness around STOP THE BLEED®.
