Trump's hush money trial is well underway – the first-ever criminal trial of a former US president.

And John, a lot has happened.

The trial’s first witness was former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker. And Pecker testified about three major things:

McDougal's
claim
that
she
had
an
affair
with
Trump
in
2006
and
2007,
he
suppressed
it
to
help
Trump's
2016
presidential
bid.

Pecker
had
alerted
Trump
that
Stormy
Daniels
was
looking
to
sell
her
story
of
a
sexual
encounter
with
Trump.
3.
Trump
set
up
a
conference
call
between
Pecker
and
his
White
House
aides,
Sarah
Huckabee
Sanders
and
Hope
Hicks,
about
extending
an
agreement
with
McDougal
that
would
keep
her
from
speaking
more
widely
about
her
affair
with
the
former
president.

John, Pecker confirmed under oath that the scheme to kill the story was to influence the election. Then he went on to reveal that even Trump’s White House aides signed off on extending this hush money scheme.

Here’s what we know: Donald Trump and the others involved in the hush money scheme apparently broke the law, which may have altered the outcome of the 2016 election.

This trial is ongoing, and it’s far from over. But it’s on us to keep up the pressure to make sure that Trump is finally held accountable for breaking the law.
