Hi John,
I hope that you and your family are staying safe and healthy. Our thoughts are with you and every member of our community. We are here to help, but we can’t do it without you.
That’s why I’m reaching out again today asking for your support. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit:
- We’ve experienced a 30% increase in requests from individuals, families, caregivers and providers who urgently need our help via the Autism Response Team. They are fielding thousands of calls and emails per week, and we know the needs of our community will only increase over the coming weeks and months.
- Applications for Autism Speaks Cares Grants, which provide direct financial support to those who need it most, grew from single digits to the hundreds in just four days – and have continued to soar.
- More than 50,000 people have accessed our COVID-19 web pages, finding vital answers and resources in this incredibly difficult time.
Please help us to continue to help people with autism directly by giving today. Plus, thanks to a generous donor, the Henry A. Quinn Foundation, your gift is doubled. That means twice as many people will be touched by your generosity.
I want to share just one example, out of so many, of why your support matters. I’m touched by the words from this recent grant recipient:
“I can’t tell you how thankful I am to all of you helping us in so many ways. I can’t believe I'm going to see the light we need right now in this time of need. Thank you all so much. Words can’t explain how great this is. Thank you again.”
Not only does your contribution allow us to provide crucial direct assistance, resources and information… it enables us to provide something that’s hard to put a price on: hope.
John, can you give today so that your dollars can work twice as hard toward providing relief for our community in this time of need?
We are so deeply appreciative for your support today and every day.
With gratitude & hope,
Angela Geiger President & CEO Autism Speaks
