Hello Michigan Dems!
When we stand together, we achieve remarkable results, and we have once again taken back control of the Michigan Legislature. As we celebrate our recent success, it’s crucial to remember that our work is far from over. We must continue to support [[link removed]] and stay engaged [[link removed]] so that we are victorious this fall. As a reminder, voters in select communities will be casting their ballots on May 7th. Although these elections are not statewide, important local issues will be on the ballot. Please continue to encourage eligible voters to visit Michigan.gov/vote [[link removed]] for important voting information.
The 2024 Legacy Dinner [[link removed]] is quickly approaching and we want to see you there! Together, we have the power to enact positive change and create a Michigan that works for everyone. Let’s keep the momentum going and remain committed to our shared goals by supporting this special occasion. Our recent victories are cause for celebration, but they must also serve as a catalyst for continued action. Please mark your calendars for June 8, 2024 , and purchase your tickets [[link removed]] for this fantastic event.
Finally, let’s reaffirm our commitment to progress and stand united in the face of adversity. Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are unapologetically pushing their extremist, anti-freedom agenda. However, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are running on a vision of what America can and should be. They are fighting for the American people: taking on Big Pharma, making corporations pay their fair share, and fighting back against attacks on reproductive freedom. The 2024 Democratic National Convention will be held August 19-22 in Chicago, and it is an excellent opportunity to show our support for President Biden as he continues to advocate for a brighter future for all Michiganders. Please check out our website [[link removed]] for more information.
Thank you,
Lavora
