Friend,
This May, WisDems is proud to honor Jewish American Heritage Month—a time for us to celebrate the unique contributions of Jews and the Jewish community to American life, and to Wisconsin.
In our state, this is a heritage that dates back to the arrival of Gabriel Shoyer, who came to Milwaukee in the first half of the 19th Century. Our first Jewish Governor, Edward Salomon, assumed office in 1862. In politics, law, the arts, academia, sports, the professions, and so many other fields of endeavor, Jewish leaders have made indelible contributions that shaped the state we love.
We hope you’ll join us in honoring Jewish heritage, and in continuing to uplift Jewish communities and voices across Wisconsin.

Thank you, friend.
