This election is the most important in modern American history, not just for what can happen during the next four years but for how it will impact generations to come.

Here's why this fight is so important to us.

We are fighting for the Veterans who have endured decades of endless war, both so they can get the care they deserve for the rest of their lives without it being privatized, and also to make sure we do not repeat the mistakes of the past.

We are fighting for the freedoms many of us signed up to defend overseas. No Veteran should come home from Iraq, Afghanistan or anywhere else with fewer rights than they left with.

We are fighting because this country deserves a leader who respects our democracy, not one who is willing to divide our country and tear it to pieces for a bit of power.

There is no doubt, our kids, grandkids and their kids will all look back at this time and either be thankful for how we met the moment, or wonder how we got it so wrong.
