Guess what, John? Today marks exactly six months until the November election, and we are working tirelessly to shift the political landscape away from the fossil fuel industry’s grip.

In 2020 alone, the fossil fuel industry pumped a staggering $139 million into our elections. Their goal? To buy influence and prop up candidates who prioritize their profits over our environment. Big Oil thinks it can buy silence, complicity, and power. But they can't drown out our commitment to fight back.

Can we count on your donation (of any amount) to help counter the greedy fossil fuel industry’s influence and elect strong climate champions in 2024 and beyond? [[link removed]]

Here at Jane PAC, we approach every race with nuance and precision — focusing our energy on races that often go unnoticed but where we can make the most significant impact: the down-ballot races. It’s in these local arenas, from city councils and county supervisors’ boards to public utility commissions, where we can truly steer the direction of environmental policy.

We’re not just throwing our weight behind any candidate; we're strategically backing those who can genuinely turn the tide against the corporate fossil fuel agenda.

Just look at some of our key endorsements:

🌍 Port of Brownsville, Texas:

The Brownsville Navigation District Commission governs the Port of Brownsville in South Texas and plays a critical role in our environmental future. We've endorsed the "Port for All" slate here due to the imminent threat of a massive LNG project not currently covered by President Biden's environmental pause. Electing this slate could shift the board majority, leading to more stringent regulations against projects that would increase the region’s production of fossil fuels and compromise the environment and Texans’ health.

🌍 Greg Casar, TX-35:

A vocal advocate of progressive environmental policies, Greg Casar cosponsored the Green New Deal and advocated for limiting endless fossil fuel subsidies. His dedication to sustainable policy makes him a crucial ally in combating climate change.

🌍 Laura Friedman, CA-30:

In California's 30th Congressional District, Laura Friedman emerged as a frontrunner in a crowded field to replace Rep. Adam Schiff. We supported her to ensure the continuation of strong environmental advocacy in a district pivotal for progressive climate policy at the federal level.

🌍 Salt River Project, Arizona:

We recruited volunteers for phone banks across Arizona — ultimately helping to elect three climate champions to the SRP Board in Arizona! This election was vital to steer one of the nation’s largest public power utilities toward adopting sustainable policies.

🌍 Summer Lee, PA-12:

We supported Summer Lee in her victory against a pro-fracking "Oily" Democrat who primaried her last month. Her re-election is crucial for maintaining integrity and progressive values in a district that’s spent decades under the influence of the fossil fuel industry.

🌍 California State Legislature & Big Oil Referendum:

This year, our focus in California is two-fold: We need to replace term-limited "Oily" incumbents with true climate champions in the state legislature. Additionally, we MUST defeat a big oil-backed referendum that would reverse an important law that safeguards CA communities from oil drilling.

🌍 Portland, Oregon City Council:

We endorsed candidates who are committed to environmental justice, and we’re helping to shore up their grassroots donor support, so that they can qualify for Portland's new Small Donor Elections public matching program! This year is the first election under the new city charter, which means the entire city council is up for grabs in November. Our strategy maximizes our impact, fostering substantial grassroots support for transformative local candidates.

Now, as we count down to the November election, your support becomes even more crucial. Are you with us? Help us continue our mission to elect climate champions and boldly confront the fossil fuel industry throughout 2024 and beyond. Chip in now — let’s make these next six months count!
