Hi John,

This May, with an election on the horizon, we hope your spring flowers won’t be the only thing blooming! This is a critical election year — and this month is especially important with the primary coming up soon. We need all hands on deck, and enough volunteers to knock on doors and get the message out about OLCV-endorsed candidates who will take bold action on climate. Will you donate today to help us grow?

Leading up to an election, our staff and volunteers work hard to grow OLCV with your dollars. It’s not possible for us to expand our reach without you watering our gardens. We need to expand our reach now, because the more conversations we have and doors we knock on, the closer we are to electing climate champions who will help us fight for a just and equitable climate future in Oregon.

Did you know that a gift of $50 is all it takes for OLCV to recruit one new volunteer? A donation of any amount is one that keeps giving back, because this new volunteer will then be trained to recruit 3 other new volunteers. All of these volunteers will then individually speak to 50 people about our endorsed candidates. So, if we can start 3,000 conversations with just $1,000, that means 15,000 conservations with $5,000. Water our garden now so we can bloom!

Imagine what our garden could do with just enough water and support from all of you; imagine how many more voters we could reach if we meet our goal of $5k! Just like a garden, once we’ve planted the seed, helped it grow, this seed will then help plant other seeds that will grow, and on and on.

We all know how important elections are - especially this year’s - for electing the right candidates who care about environmental justice, share our values, and will fight for a safe and healthy future in Oregon. Help us grow our garden today so we can continue to enjoy its flowers!
