During Bobby Kennedy’s eulogy of his brother, President John F. Kennedy, at the Democratic Convention — after a 20 minute standing ovation — he said JFK would have never been able to accomplish any of what he had without the support of all of you — the Democratic Party.

He said that when we’re in it together, we can accomplish a great deal.

That is going to be true in this election, and in our fight to amend the Constitution on guns.

Believe it or not, and it's amazing to me, we have built an operation that has raised millions and millions of dollars in small-dollar donations for candidates and state parties across the country.

We send an email out and it raises sometimes $100,000 or more — a game-changing amount of money. So much so I get requests for help all the time. But money alone won't win this election.

We need to be able to turn out voters who will vote for Democrats at all levels of the ballot.

And the operation we've built is large and sophisticated enough to do that. Probably more so than most of the campaigns themselves. But it takes people.
