Happy Star Wars Day!

I have loved the original Star Wars movies since I was young – the power of hope in overcoming fascism never fails to inspire.

We’re not living through an intergalactic war, but we are living through a time of increasing attacks against democracy. 

We can’t stand by while this happens.

We must build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. We must protect the fundamental reproductive rights of women. We must build a democracy without the influence of gerrymandering, partisanship, and voter suppression.

As Han Solo famously says, “Never tell me the odds!” We continue the fight no matter what.
