Dear John, I hope you and yours are and continue to be healthy and safe. I'm going to level with you. We're in a tight spot, funding-wise. I am expecting up to a 25% hit this year. Our operation practices look very different with social distancing but we're working as hard as we can. Lives depend on us continuing our work. Here's what we have going on right now and how you can help: We continue to provide a tool for Americans in almost every state in America to pressure their governors to stop elective abortions. We're working with legislators to ensure that any potential emergency short session in the Oregon Legislature does not further entrench abortion rights in Oregon. Our late-term abortion report for 2020 is finished and online so you can read and share. We hand-delivered more than 60 copies of this report in Washington, D.C. to key members of Congress (including Oregon's pro-abortion senators). We want to help other pro-life groups get through this crisis too. To that end, we're hosting a national webinar (you'll be able to attend too!). Josh Brahm of Equal Rights Institute came alongside us to co-host and help with tech. We already have Students for Life of America, the Susan B. Anthony List, the Charlotte Lozier Institute, Alliance Defending Freedom, and more signed up to present! Life looks different for all of us. I know you may be experiencing a lot more instability and might not be in a place to help. If you can, will you help us make up the 25% hit we're expecting? A commitment to a monthly gift of any amount today will help us budget to survive this crisis. Even $25, $50, or $100 a month will help me maintain our advocacy efforts and retain staff. Thank you so much. Because everyone deserves an advocate, Lois Anderson Above: Behind the scenes of Liberty and Josh Brahm getting ready for the "Pro-Life Leadership in Quarantine" webinar. |
