My name is Ravi Bhalla, and I’m running for Congress because it’s important that the people of NJ-08 have a choice — something they haven’t truly had in quite a while.

As Mayor of Hoboken, I've worked alongside members of the community to improve safety, opportunity, and equality. I've seen firsthand what we can accomplish together when we push past those that seek to divide us.

But thanks to machine politics and limited (if any) access to their representatives, there’s almost no connective tissue between our community and its Congressman, Rob Menendez Jr. — son of disgraced Senator Bob Menendez.

Will you chip in a grassroots donation to help elect me to represent the people of NJ-08 in Congress so we can work toward a better New Jersey for our children and grandchildren?

Unfortunately, it’s been a long time since New Jerseyans had an actual choice.

Menendez Jr. was anointed to this seat, courtesy of party bosses and a powerful last name.

I’m running because I believe that NJ-08 deserves better.

If there isn't a conversation happening between a representative and the represented, then the responsibility should be on the Congressman, not the people, to fix that. I'm ready to take on that responsibility with a campaign message of empathy, understanding, and equity.
