Next, the general election...
Labour Rose

John xxxxxx, thanks to all of your hard work - we won.

And what a win it is: against all the odds, a historic third term for Sadiq and Labour in London. This has never been done before, and we pulled it off together as a team.

London has rejected the Tories’ scare tactics and divisive, hard-right vision, choosing a better way instead.

But this wasn’t just about winning, but about what winning enabled us to do. Thanks to you, more council homes will be built, children will get free meals at school, fares will be frozen and our air will be cleaner.

So thank you, this is a moment to enjoy and celebrate.

But, John xxxxxx, this isn’t the only time we’ll need to beat the Tories this year.

A general election could be called any day. But our funds are running dangerously low from keeping up with Tory spending in this mayoral election. And they’ll fight like hell to hold onto power.

John xxxxxx, chip in so we can give the general election fight everything we’ve got as soon as it’s called. We need every penny to win key marginal seats in London. Let’s keep up the momentum of today’s win so we can rise to the challenge of getting a Labour government.

I’m so glad to see London choose Sadiq for Mayor again - and to see so many fantastic Labour Assembly Members elected.

Now we need to make sure Britain chooses Labour as well.

Labour in City Hall has made huge progress - imagine what we could do with a Labour government too.

Thank you again,

Feryal Clark
MP for Enfield North
General Election London Lead
