Do Republicans have any clue what an insurrection actually is?

Members of the Arizona Freedom Caucus filed an ethics complaint after Democrats’ vocal push to repeal the ban sparks change.
— Copper Courier, April 26, 2024

The complaint claims [Reps.] Ortiz and De Los Santos “attempted insurrection,” and “incited a riot.” The language resembles that surrounding the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, an incident that several in the Republican caucus have publicly voiced support for, been directly linked to, or were present at.

PITCH IN TO FIGHT BACK

The extreme, fringe, far-right legislators of the Arizona Freedom Caucus seem to be confused about what an insurrection is. So we want to take a moment to clear it up for everyone:

✅ What an insurrection is: Storming the capitol with zip ties and threatening elected Representatives with violence while they work to follow the law, uphold the constitution, and affirm our free and fair elections.

❌ What an insurrection is not: Using your elected office to uphold the will of Arizonans and overturning a total abortion ban that predates our statehood.

We have to unseat every right-wing legislator that clearly doesn't know what an insurrection really is. Will you pitch in right now to help us protect our democracy?

Many of the most extreme members of the Republican Party were either in attendance on January 6th themselves, have spread election conspiracy theories, have fundraised for or with an election denier, or have publicly voiced support for insurrectionists.

Our democracy is not safe until we unseat every single election denier on the ballot.

Thanks for sticking with us in this fight,
