Dear John,

It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting
for our conservative values.

I want to recognize all of the small businesses across Minnesota’s 7th
Congressional District as we celebrate National Small Business Week. When we
shop local, we are supporting businesses that create jobs, support families,
and keep our communities vibrant. These mom-and-pop shops are always there with
donations to local events and fundraisers. So, remember to shop local, not just
this week but every week!

This week, the House passed a number of bills related to our nation’s lands:
including three bills to remove roadblocks set up by nameless bureaucrats to
impede American energy production; theSuperior National Forest Restoration Act
(H.R. 3195) to rescind a shortsighted Biden administration policy that bars
mining operations on specified Forest Service lands in Minnesota; and the
much-neededTrust the Science Act (H.R. 764) to delist the gray wolf. House
Republicans are committed to rolling back Biden’s bureaucratic state because we
can be pro-energy, pro-jobs, and pro-growth while also being environmentally
conscious.

Next year, President Trump’s middle-class tax cuts will expire, resulting in
Americans losing their individual rate reductions. This would lead to a $400
billion annual tax increase across the board. Joe Biden has made it clear that
he intends to let President Trump’s cuts expire, saying that they
“overwhelmingly benefited the wealthy and big corporations.” I grilled Treasury
Secretary Yellen in a House Ways and Means Committee hearing over Biden’s
comments. While she insisted he would not support increases on families making
under $400,000, the President's words and inaction don’t support this. To top
it off, the majority of Democrats voted against these same expiring tax cuts in
2018. Do you believe they won’t do it again and leave struggling families out
to dry?

Bottom line: You can’t trust the Democrats with your taxes. We need to hold
our majority, win back the Senate and help President Trump defeat Joe Biden.
That's the only way we can put American taxpayers FIRST.

As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with.
Thank you for your continued support!

With gratitude,
