Good news, NRDC Activist!
New protections for 13 million acres of Alaska’s Arctic Reserve were just announced.
This unprecedented action puts the health of people, our climate, and our planet above oil industry profits. The Arctic Reserve supports 40 Indigenous communities and is home to a wealth of wildlife, including grizzly and polar bears, caribou, shore and waterbirds, and many other species.
In addition to this major victory for communities and wildlife, it’s also a win for NRDC and the thousands and thousands of activists like you who have been fighting to support more protections for the Arctic. Your voices were heard!
Will you help us build on this momentum by pledging to support these strong protections safeguarding our wild Arctic?
Add your name: I support strong Arctic protection!
I stand with NRDC in support of strong Arctic protection, and I stand against fossil fuel companies relentlessly exploiting the Arctic, causing irreparable harm and devastation. Safeguarding this fragile ecosystem and its wildlife, and the communities it supports, is vital to combating the climate crisis and preserving nature, biodiversity, and people’s interests over profit.

The Arctic is warming more than four times as fast as the rest of the planet. Prioritizing communities and protecting imperiled wildlife over drilling in the Arctic Reserve is a key step to reducing climate-busting carbon pollution to the levels we need to avert climate catastrophe.
The fossil fuel industry, including oil giant ConocoPhillips, and its allies are relentlessly attempting to exploit the Arctic region, risking irreparable harm and devastation. We cannot allow their agenda to prevail.
You make our movement strong! Add your name in defense of the Arctic Reserve.
We're closer than ever to the clean energy future we need to stave off the worst impacts of the climate crisis. President Biden's groundbreaking 2022 climate law, the Inflation Reduction Act, has made unprecedented investments in our clean energy economy, and the administration has made strides to slash climate-busting pollution from the two biggest sources — transportation and power plants.
Earlier this year, the Biden administration issued critical safeguards to limit dangerous carbon pollution from cars and trucks, and just weeks ago they released vital limits on pollution from power plants.
Together, we're safeguarding our planet for future generations, standing firm against exploitation. Thank you for being part of this fight.
Sincerely,
Bobby McEnaney
