Bernie Sanders has dropped out of the 2020 Democratic
presidential primary race. This is not the outcome that we've
wanted, and it's easy to feel disappointed right now -- but
nothing actually ends today. Thank you, Bernie, for bringing the
issues we care about the most to the forefront.
"Not me. Us." wasn't just a campaign slogan for Bernie. It was
an admission that electoral campaigns are inherently temporary,
and that the only path toward real justice for working people is
long-term mass mobilization and participation in the political
process.
John, what has always separated Bernie
from other candidates is you, and the millions of Americans like
you. People who understand what the Democratic Party should be.
People who understand that health care and economic security are
basic human rights. People who believe that if one of us isn't
free, none of us are.
Bernie's presidential campaigns became a movement that brought
millions of Americans into the political process. That terrified

movement will finally disappear so they can get back to business
as usual.
For nearly four years, Our Revolution has worked at the local

Some Americans overvalue the importance of political figureheads
and undervalue the impact of systems, institutions, and, most
importantly, grassroots movements.

electing progressive champions, transforming the Democratic
