JFI Colleagues,
The Justice for Immigrants team wishes you a joyful and blessed Easter. Although
all are struggling at this difficult moment, it is important that we continue to
put our trust in God and have faith that he will bring us and the vulnerable people
we serve through this dark time.
For those of you who might be reaching out to us over the Easter Holiday, please
know that the USCCB is officially closed from Wednesday, April 8th afternoon through
Monday, April 13th. We will get back to you as soon as we possibly can once we return
from the Easter celebration.
In the meantime, we would like to draw your attention to some resources that are
both currently available and which will be forthcoming following the Easter break:
1. Rosary For Vulnerable People on the Move: On April 20th, JFI will be issuing
a daily Rosary for Vulnerable People on the Move. [[link removed]]
This Rosary will provide reflections on various vulnerable migrant populations,
directions on how to pray the Rosary, and text for each of the prayers. We will
issue it in both Spanish and English and hope to launch an online interactive element
as a follow up to its release on April 20th.
2. Way of the Cross/ViaCrucis: Please join Bishop Dorsonville, Chairman of the USCCB
Migration Committee and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, who
will be celebrating the Way of the Cross [[link removed]]
on Friday, April 10th at 3:00 PM, Eastern. This celebration will be broadcast online;
we hope that you can join us.
3. The Way of Asylum was inspired by the art of Michelina Nicotera-Taxiera, who
created a moving interpretation of Stations of the Cross, a 14-step Catholic devotion
that commemorates Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man. It is a resource developed

by the southern Arizona faith community, including the Kino Border Institute [[link removed]];
please consider using this as an educational and spiritual resource in your local
community
