How are you doing, friend?
As we continue to follow the advice of our public health officials and stay home, I've been reflecting on what this time has shown us. The one thing I always come back to is the bravery of the great people of our country during this difficult time.
I know it's easy to feel uncertain or discouraged right now, but every day I see stories that give me hope. All across the country, people are stepping up for their communities and lending a helping hand. From volunteering at food banks to picking up groceries and medicine for their neighbors, seeing how people have come together inspires me and reminds me why I got into this race.
I'll be honest, running for the U.S. Senate wasn't an easy decision for me. I'm a farm kid and businesswoman, not a career politician. But I want to be a voice for those who need someone to look out for them. In my most difficult moments, my community was always there to give me a hand up and ensure I was taken care of. I want to give back.
With everything that's happening, we've had to change our campaign strategy and cancel our in-person events for the time being. That means we have to lean on this grassroots team to keep this campaign running.
If you're able, please consider pitching in to help power this grassroots campaign and close our fundraising gap. We can bring real change to Washington and start putting people first again, but only if we all stand together.

Like I said, I'm constantly amazed by how much this team and our community is stepping up right now to help get through this time. I'm confident we can do it again.
Stay well,
Theresa
