Rt Hon Winston Peters defends New Zealand

The leader of New Zealand First has dominated the news cycle this week - protecting our nation’s place in an ever-changing world.

New Zealand benefits from having an experienced and internationally respected statesman in the Foreign Affairs portfolio. Last month he stated that we need to “engage in the world as it is, not how we want it to be” - providing a dose of what is termed 'realpolitik'.

When it comes to defending freedoms and democracy - New Zealand First puts steel into our government.

Winston Peters is the true champion for New Zealand’s nationhood and sovereignty.

Acting Prime Minister in the house this week, delivering a Foreign Affairs speech to the NZ Institute of International Affairs, addressing the Chinese Council, and continuing to forge international partnerships, Winston Peters shows once again that he is exactly the right person for the job.

Winston’s experience shines on the international stage and New Zealand continues to benefit from the strength of his convictions as he defends the foundational values our country relies on.

New Zealand First has always believed in and defended New Zealand's right to independent nationhood, sovereignty, and prosperity - showing the values of a true nationalist party. We are proud to serve New Zealand in this government as we continue to progress common sense policy and promote our great country to the rest of the world.

Democracy is at the heart of all that we do.

Wool with Mark Patterson

Our rural spokesperson and MP Mark Patterson is continuing with his passionate advocacy for New Zealand’s wool industry.

Not only has he been overseas promoting New Zealand wool and innovation to an international audience, he is regularly meeting with regional and community stakeholders to stay up to date with progress. There have also been more meetings held with farmers in local woolsheds throughout provincial New Zealand as they discuss ways to revitalise this iconic industry back to prosperity.

As Mark always says, in this time of environmental sustainability, products like wool should be flourishing and we need to show case our unique kiwi product and unleash it as part of our export earnings plan.

We are excited to be counting down to the Field Days in Hamilton in June and Mark looks forward to meeting more kiwis who are as passionate about wool as he is.

April Tour round up

We wrapped up a successful6 month April Tour, with final meetings in Timaru and Dunedin last weekend. Our MPs and their teams delivered 10 public meetings throughout the country and met with hundreds of kiwis.

New Zealand First has been back in parliament for six months already. We are so grateful to our supporters, in helping us get back here, but also for the feedback we get along the way.

We know that so many of our coalition commitments are being eagerly anticipated by kiwis all over New Zealand and we are working hard to deliver our commitments as quickly as possible.

Check out Jamie Arbuckle in action, reminding everyone about our stellar record so far.
