John,
Paraquat is a highly toxic weed killer that's been linked to Parkinson’s, a disease that affects the nervous system and brain condition, impacting movement of body parts. So why is it still approved and in use in the US to poison millions of acres of farmland?
The answer is simple: greedy, profit-hungry lobbyists.
But people are starting to notice and pressure is mounting all over the US to get paraquat off the market for good. And, because of a lawsuit, the government might even reconsider Paraquat's approval in the coming months. This is where the Ekō-Community comes in -- as a global movement, we can demand a strict ban of this highly toxic weed killer that's poisoning us. Are you in?

Research dating back as far as 1950 shows that Paraquat producer Syngenta knew all along how dangerous the pesticide is -- and ever since, the chemical giant is willing to poison people to generate more profits. Documents say that internal scientists warned of a “terrible problem” and that plans to cover it up need to be made.
Science has proven over and over again that Paraquat is dangerous, and hence banned in 32 countries, including the European Union and China. In fact, Paraquat is used to induce and study parkinsonism.
No one wants Paraquat and Syngenta and the EPA are suffering the legal consequences. There are over 300 lawsuits filed against Paraquat across the U.S. to ban its usage for good.
Just in 2022, the Ekō-Community came together and 160,000 of us submitted comments to the US Environmental Protection Agency opposing the Rio Tinto mine that poisoned the environment in the area -- and they listened! The Agency used its powers to protect Bristol Bay and stop the mining project once and for all. Today, we can move the EPA to ban Paraquat for good.
Tell the US EPA: Ban the Parkinson’s pesticide Paraquat!
