[1]Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

This is the cycle where we are seeing a confrontation with AIPAC – the
American Israel Public Affairs Committee — happen head on for the first
time.

This is a bare knuckle fight. For so long the fear of standing up for
Palestinian human rights and actually fighting for a lasting peace has
been the third rail in American politics.

This is the cycle where we’ve decided, between the absolute indiscriminate
attacks and an unfolding genocide in Gaza, that we are standing up and
saying: Enough.

From Day 1 we have called for a ceasefire in the region. Since Day 1, we
have advocated for the human rights of Palestinians. And from Day 1, they
have put a target on our back.

This year, AIPAC is coming to New York State in a way they have never
before.

Today, it was announced that AIPAC will spend $25 million in attack ads
against Jamaal Bowman until his primary election in June.^1

[ [link removed] ]The New York primary election is in less than 8 weeks. Will you split a $2
contribution today between our campaigns — $1 for each team — to power our
movement and help us win, not by a little but by a lot, on June 25th?

I want to be very clear that AIPAC is not representative or in alignment
with the views of the vast majority of Americans, of Democrats, and
especially generationally, many in the Jewish community.

They seek to artificially conflate some of the most conservative and
war-hawk stances with bad faith accusations that criticism of the
Netanyahu Administration or how Gazans are treated is somehow
anti-semitic.

We must stand up undeterred.

Jamaal Bowman has a very serious primary challenge that is largely
financed by AIPAC. They’re raising significant resources from, and are
financed by, Republicans. They endorse Republicans who supported the
January 6th attacks.

It’s so important to understand that the threat to democracy — both that
Netanyahu represents in Israel and that Trump represents in the United
States — are being supported by many of the individuals that support AIPAC
as well.

This is a question of democracy. This is a question of making sure that
New York State is not torn up by the racist attacks that AIPAC engages in.

[ [link removed] ]Will you make a contribution right now between our campaigns so that we can
win back the House? 6 swing seats run through NY, and we need to preserve each
one — starting with Jamaal’s.

If, and when, we win big, what we tell the rest of the Congress is that
AIPAC is nothing to be afraid of.

For the first time in modern American politics, conditioning aid to Israel
is becoming a mainstream conversation in D.C. That has never happened
before.

And it’s happening because of the support, activism, and organizing of
people like you.

Thank you,

Alexandria
