Legislative Update

This week has been a rush of omnibus bills as the calendar continues to get backed up by these bloated bills. We have been on the House floor up to and even past midnight every day with this trend likely continuing tonight, and maybe even tomorrow. These bills have included infringements on our second amendment rights, continued growth of state government, and tonight a tax bill that will make Minnesota even less friendly for small businesses in our state.

Sacred Heart

I had a great time this week with Sacred Heart School's 5th and 6th students who came to visit the Capitol. I always enjoy getting to share this place with young minds and answer all the questions they have may have about how their government works.



Congratulations to Alex, Haylie, Emma, and Dori from Austin High School who have all been recognized as All-State Musicians. It takes an incredible amount of dedication to craft to reach this level of performance. Great work and I wish them all the best as they continue their musical endevers.
