Improving transportation in and around Kingston topic of May 8 meeting
Kitsap Transit also shares details on proposed park-and-ride facility
Kingston area residents and business owners are invited to attend the May 8 meeting of the Kingston Community Advisory Council from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Road NE, to learn about current planning and funding for road improvement projects and to hear details on a new park-and-ride facility proposed by Kitsap Transit. There is a virtual meeting option via Zoom. The meeting agenda and Zoom link are posted at kcowa.us/KingstonCAC.
Transportation planners from Kitsap County Public Works will review the county's Transportation Improvement Program and how to submit project suggestions. The council's transportation committee will discuss its proposed project list to submit to the county.
John Clauson, executive director of Kitsap Transit, joins the meeting to share information about a proposed park-and-ride facility at State Route 104 and Bond Road (SR 307) that would serve as a new multimodal connection between two major traffic corridors .
There are also opportunities for public comment and community announcements. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. KCAC meetings are a great way to stay up to date on what's happening and find out how to get involved to help improve the community
