April Endorsements Bring May Victories
Happy endorsement week! We’re standing with 28 more LGBTQ+ candidates who are ready to make history on the campaign trail. We’ve also endorsed 228 candidates for the 2024 election cycle!
Mishon Montgomery, running for the Nevada State Assembly, and Nikson Mathews, running for the Idaho House of Representatives, were also awarded Spotlight status!
Nikson, who will be the first out trans person elected in Idaho history, is hard at work letting voters know that Primary Day is right around the corner – May 21st!
Mishon has been rolling out a series of exciting endorsements, announcing support from the Nevada Conservation League, the Vegas Chamber and more!
Victory in Pennsylvania!
We are excited to report that all our candidates in Pennsylvania won their primary elections, including Spotlight candidate Malcolm Kenyatta! When Malcolm wins in the general election in November, he will be the first out LGBTQ+ person elected to statewide office in Pennsylvania (and he is the first to be nominated statewide!).
La’Tasha D. Mayes, Jessica Benham, and Andre Carroll each won their uncontested primaries for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Incumbent candidate Abigail Salisbury also defeated a primary opponent and declared victory!
Ev-Mentum: Evan Low Officially Advances to the General Election!
After a close vote count (we’re talking a handful of votes!), a TIE! and a recount, Evan Low is officially advancing to the general election! The recount showed Evan had just five more votes than his closest opponent, Joe Simitian.

UP NEXT: Molly Cook’s Special Election in Texas!
Spotlight candidate Molly Cook is back on the ballot – this time, for a May 4th Special Election! This race will determine who represents Texas State Senate, District 15 for the rest of the year and will succeed now-Houston Mayor John Whitmire. Molly is also running in the May 28th runoff elections, which will determine the district representative for the full term.
