U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar was just indicted on more than a DOZEN federal
charges.

[ [link removed] ]CBS News: Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar and wife indicted on federal
bribery charges

The charges allege Cuellar and his wife “took hundreds of thousands of
dollars in bribes from an oil company owned by the government of
Azerbaijan and a Mexican bank,” according to CBS News.

Justice Democrats has been calling out Cuellar’s corruption since 2020,
but special interests like AIPAC flooded in to buy this seat for an
anti-abortion, corrupt moderate.

In 2020, Justice Democrats endorsed progressive candidate Jessica Cisneros
in her primary challenge against Cuellar, the last anti-abortion Democrat
in Congress. In addition to the outside spending, Cuellar was boosted by
the Democratic establishment, which chose to prioritize an anti-choice
incumbent over a progressive challenger who believes in the party’s core
principles.

Jessica lost by only 281 votes against a corrupt politician because
special interests flooded to support him and the establishment sided with
the status quo. Now in 2024, special interests like AIPAC are flocking to
spend $100 million in GOP megadonor money to beat our progressive
incumbents like Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush.
