** Social Distancing: Humans vs. Animals

Dear John,
Tired of social distancing? Bored and stuck at home? Feeling imprisoned?
It’s important to remember no matter how bad we may think we have it, there are always others suffering far more. Animals in captivity face imprisonment every day of their lives.
Lonely. Desperate for attention. Scared and alone.
Animals in zoos, aquariums, marine parks, research labs, carriage horses, and in factory farms have no real sense of freedom. Many spend their lives in solitary confinement.
* Macaques and beagles in research labs suffer severe psychological stress from cruel experiments. When they aren’t undergoing unnecessary tests, they suffer in isolation with no social contact.
* New York’s Carriage Horses will never see an open pasture or be able to gallop free.
* Elephants in circuses can be chained for up to 23 hours a day.
* Pigs in factory farms spend their short, miserable lives in gestation crates so small they’re unable to even turn around.
That is why LCA fights to end animal exploitation in all forms and to give animals the freedom they deserve. You have the power to help animals by practicing compassion! Don't buy products or services made on the back of animals!
