Hidden charges (also known as junk fees) on concert tickets, food and
grocery delivery orders, airline tickets, and countless other purchases
add up, hurting working families and individuals who are already
struggling to make ends meet.

That’s why Rob proudly supported legislation to ban junk fees across
California, which will go into effect in July. While California is leading
the way in cutting costs and protecting consumers, Republicans in Congress
are actively trying to let credit card companies pick our pockets.

The GOP is trying to overturn a Biden Administration rule from the
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) that caps credit card late
fees at just $8.

In a committee hearing, the Republican congressman leading the charge
said: "The vast majority of Americans agree that [junk fees] are
legitimate. They don't think they're junk." In actuality, polls show 9 in
10 voters oppose these fees.

[ [link removed] ]We need more cracking down on abusive junk fees, not less. Sign the
petition to tell Congress: Do not help credit card companies pick the
pockets of hard-working Americans!

As Rob continues to fight for consumers here in California, let’s make it
clear to every member of Congress that people across the country are tired
of being taken advantage of with misleading prices and hidden fees.
