DC Council will hold its second vote on the PLA Cost Threshold Amendment Act. The legislation proposes reducing the project labor agreement (PLA) requirement cost threshold from $75 million to $50 million for government construction projects in the District. These agreements are essential for maintaining labor standards, establishing dispute resolution parameters, and ensuring commitments to workplace safety. This Act would mean more projects could qualify for PLA's which would mean more good jobs in the city.
