John, I’m not running for Congress for me. I’m running for Congress to build a better future for the next generation. I’m running for young people who are fighting every day for safe neighborhoods, better schools, and a livable planet.

Young people like my youngest daughter, Journie. I raised her to fight for what she believes in. Now, she’s running for Hagerstown City Council at just 22 years old – and I’m running to prove there’s no limit to how far we can go.

Young people like my mentee Tiara. I took Tiara under my wing from a young age, and years later, we both ran for Hagerstown City Council. Together, we made history when we both won our races. Tiara’s gonna keep fighting for our community in Hagerstown, but we need somebody who will fight for us in Washington, too.

And young people like my growing team of campaign staff and volunteers. I’m working with the next generation of organizers and advocates, who have a vision for the future they want and are ready to fight like hell to achieve it together.

John, young people deserve a leader who expands their educational opportunities, promotes common-sense gun legislation, and protects the planet for generations to come. I’m running to be that leader, and I’m asking you to join me in this fight.

I’m running for Congress because I know what Journie, Tiara, and my team know: Their generation deserves a leader who fights fiercely for their futures.
