This is a bizarre policy to be pushing for right before November, but ok.
John,
There’s one thing we think almost *everyone* can get behind: No one likes it when their flights are delayed or canceled.
Well...almost everyone. Here's what we mean:
Last week, the Biden Administration issued a new rule requiring airlines to issue automatic refunds if a flight is significantly delayed or canceled — a good policy that will benefit millions of travelers across the country.
But Ted Cruz and four of his congressional colleagues want you to fly through hoops and obstacles to get a refund. Cruz recently proposed legislation that would undermine the new refund rule by requiring passengers to jump through hoops to obtain a refund.
You might be asking yourself, why? Other than being a complete ***hole, why would Ted try to undermine this new rule?
We think we have the answer: money.
Ted is bankrolled by the airline industry and ranks as one of the highest recipients of their lobbying $.
To date, Ted has taken over $250k in checks from the airline industry. Now, he’s trying to do their dirty work.
Congress should be protecting our wallets — not padding the pockets of airline executives.
Texas is long overdue for a senator who is committed to working for Texans — not airline CEOs. Can you pitch in $5 or anything you can right now to power our movement to Cut Cruz this November?
