Since the federal right to safe, legal abortion was eliminated by the far-right Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022, the negative impacts have only worsened across the country.

This week, Florida’s six-week abortion ban went into effect, severely limiting abortion access across most of the southern states. Just look at this map from The New York Times showing the distance to a clinic that offers abortions after 6 weeks in 2021 compared to today:

It gets worse: if Donald Trump is elected president again, he said it’s up to the states to decide whether or not to prosecute people who get abortions.

Our right to bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom continues to be eroded by Republicans, which is why we can’t afford to lose a single progressive incumbent from Congress this year.
