Team,

We're back in Texas fighting anti-abortion extremists, and I need to know you're with us. [[link removed]]

A woman who allegedly fled Texas to get abortion care out of state is being threatened with legal action by her ex-boyfriend. His intent is to use Texas's vigilante abortion ban and its wrongful death statute to file a lawsuit against her—and others who he believes helped her. The Center is defending her and the other people being targeted. [[link removed]]

The anti-abortion movement doesn't just want to stop abortions from happening in states with bans, they want to force pregnancies for everyone, period. This time they're trying to use several Texas laws, including its vigilante abortion law, to prevent Texans from seeking the reproductive care they need in other states.

We want to be crystal clear: the law can't stop people from leaving Texas for treatment. And the anti-abortion lawyers in this case know that too... they know because they helped write the Texas abortion ban.

FIGHT BACK [[link removed]]

This strategy is about creating fear—and we're seeing it play out in Tennessee, Idaho, and many other states—attempts to scare people who travel for abortion care. But we're not afraid and we're not backing down.

With your support we're ready to take on this—and any other challenge—that comes our way. [[link removed]]
