Dear friends of the Fund, The Outsiders Producer's Picks Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre See top-notch theater and feel good about helping others! Producer's Picks tickets are donated by the producers so your entire ticket purchase goes to support the Entertainment Community Fund'sprograms and services. In 1960s Tulsa, Oklahoma two teen gangs, the well-to-do "Socs" and the ne'er-do-well "greasers", sustain a rivalry. The greasers, including the iconic characters of Ponyboy Curtis, played by Tony nominee Brody Grant (in his Broadway debut), and Johnny Cade, played by Tony nominee Sky Lakota Lynch (Dear Evan Hansen) have a rocky brotherhood, but in a society that's all but abandoned them, it's all they have. Adapted from the classic novel by S.E. Hinton, The Outsiders—now nominated for 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical—reimagines the timeless tale of haves and have nots, of protecting what’s yours and fighting for what could be.
The Great Gatsby Producer's Picks Broadway Theatre Transport yourself to the opulent world of the 1920s, and join the Fund for an extravagant night at The Great Gatsby on Broadway! This story of excess and longing stars Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies) as the eccentric and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and Tony Award Nominee Eva Noblezada (Hadestown) as the enigmatic Daisy Buchanan.
The Who's Tommy Producer's Picks Nederlander Theatre In 1969, The Who created a rock opera that changed the course of music history. After witnessing an act of violence, young Tommy Walker—played by Ali Louis Bourzgui, making his Broadway debut—goes into a state of shock, spending his time endlessly and obsessively staring into the mirror. An innate knack for pinball catapults him from reticent adolescent to celebrity savior. Myth and spectacle combine in a fresh reinvention of The Who's exhilarating 1969 rock concept album, Tommy, now Tony-nominated for Best Revival of a Musical.
