Warm temperatures are finally here, and many Pennsylvanians are starting to turn their air conditioners on.

With summer quickly approaching, it’s only going to get hotter. Unsurprisingly, energy costs remain top of mind for Pennsylvanians.

Yet, Gov. Josh Shapiro, despite promising to lower energy costs for consumers, proposes a “massive” new energy tax on consumers.

His two new programs—the Pennsylvania Climate Emissions Reduction Act (PACER) and the Pennsylvania Reliable Energy Sustainability Standard (PRESS)—will impose strict limits on emissions across all sectors. PACER and PRESS will establish a cap-and-trade system and a central-planning initiative, resulting in fewer energy options for consumers.

PACER and PRESS will increase energy costs for all Pennsylvanians

.

This is unacceptable. Shapiro ran for governor, promising to cut energy bills. But he’s doing the opposite. These new programs show that the governor is breaking yet another of his promises to Pennsylvanians.

Please send a message to the governor now. Tell Shapiro to cut energy costs for Pennsylvania now.
