Mr. Rogers famously said that when I was a boy and would see scary things in the news, his mother would tell him to look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping. I've found the people helping on college campuses across America. Or, across Real America. In NYC, LA, and DC the inmates are still running the asylum. But out in Real America, the heroes are wearing backward ball caps, crushing Claws, and popping Zyns.
