The Fort Kearny Expo showcases the vast range of outdoor activities in Nebraska ? and lets you try them yourself, for free! Visit?Fort Kearny State Recreation Area?from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.?to enjoy hands-on activities of all kinds, with the help of friendly instructors.
Dip your toes into target shooting, camping skills, bowfishing, archery, outdoor cooking, kayaking and fishing. Then relax with roasting hot dogs, munching on gourmet s'mores and exploring the aquatic touch tank and Teddy Roosevelt reenactment.
This event is meant for all ages, so whether you're an adult interested in broadening your horizons, or a parent hoping to introduce a child to a new skill, this is the place to do it!
All activities are free, but you need a park entry permit to get in. Skip the lines and buy a permit online or at any permit vendor.
