Volunteering Matters: awards, stories, ideas & training
Hello and welcome to the Spring edition of Volunteering Matters!Whether the sun is shining or the rain is pouring (or somehow both?), we've got busy volunteers on the ground in your community making it a great place to be.
Sligo volunteers from organisations like Aremoja Women's Group, Tidy Towns and Globe House helped us launch this year's campaign at the Avalon Centre.
Volunteering is Uniquely Us!
National Volunteering Week is 20-26 May!([link removed]
Every volunteer brings with them a wealth of experiences, skills, traits and strengths that make them a uniquely great fit for their role.
We truly believe that celebrating, not just accommodating, the uniqueness of our volunteers makes our communities stronger and more connected. This National Volunteering Week we are exploring the diversity of volunteers who make Ireland what it is. No matter your age, race, abilities or status, we honor your place in the community and the volunteering that you, uniquely, do.
Stay tuned to learn more about all the goings-on during the week, including the launch of new research, a toolkit, and training on making volunteering more inclusive!
