Our Advocacy Day is next Tuesday, May 7th, and I can’t wait to showcase the enormous power of our movement with you in Harrisburg.

So far, over 500 advocates from the majority of PA counties have signed up to travel to Harrisburg and meet with lawmakers in-person, demanding they pass legislation to keep communities safe from gun violence. It’s going to be a very big day, so as you can imagine it comes with a pretty steep price tag. 

I won’t beat around the bush here: I need to ask you to help offset the cost of this monumental, and deeply necessary, day of action. I’ve itemized some of our expenses here so you can see exactly how your investment would support Pennsylvania’s largest annual gathering of gun safety advocates at the State Capitol:

Unlike the other side, we can’t rely on moneyed interests to foot the bill for our advocacy, and that’s by design. Instead, we rely on our grassroots, everyday Pennsylvanians like you who care deeply about gun violence prevention and community safety. Can we count on you to advocate with your wallet, and contribute one of the amounts above to help us cover costs for our biggest day of the year?

Next Tuesday will be a sight to behold – I’m not exaggerating when I say it will be our biggest day of the year. Advocates from around the Commonwealth will descend on the Capitol to meet with legislators and urge them to support life-saving legislation like universal background checks, safe storage, preventing gun trafficking, and an end to ghost guns as we know them. 

The day will culminate with a huge rally on the Capitol steps with key speakers like Lt. Governor Austin Davis and gun violence survivors, demonstrating the immense power of our grassroots movement. 

But to make sure we can afford everything we have planned, I need to check in with my most reliable grassroots donors. So, I’m asking you again: will you help make our Advocacy Day a success by giving generously today?
