*What's New?*

Over the past month, we have made several small enhancements to data.census.gov [ [link removed] ] that we hope will provide a big impact! These enhancements are a direct result of valuable feedback we?ve received from our data users. Check out our updates and let us know if they hit the mark at: [email protected].


* *Technical Details Added to the Table Messages*: Enhanced messaging provides more details explaining why a table does not display. For example, the above message shows that the table is too large to display because it contains 6,785 columns, exceeding the 1,000-column maximum.
* *?Identify? Feature on the Maps*: The Identify button provides detailed geographic data for a selected geography while in the mapping feature. With this enhancement, the geographic information no longer obscures the map and is now located unobstructed to the right side of the map.
* *Downloaded files Messaging*: Now, when you download files, a pop-up window will indicate that the downloads are in the ZIP file format.
* *API Button on Table Display*: We have added an API button on the table ribbon that provides the corresponding API query for the dataset related to the table you are currently viewing. Now accessing data through the API is just a click away!
* *Clickable Progress Bar on the Population Pyramid App*: The new progress bar allows you to quickly navigate between the different sections of the app or jump back to the beginning.
* *Legend on the Population Pyramid App*: New legend to show the meaning of each color in the pyramid.
* *No Results Messaging on Population Pyramid App*: Messaging is now available when a population pyramid search does not show results.
