Our NJ-08 Congressional race is about more than just a Democratic primary. Primaries happen all the time, and some races just have higher stakes than others.
Our race is an outlier in its importance, John.
There’s more at stake than your typical primary, because voters have a choice that’s not just between two Democrats, but a choice between two entirely different visions for NJ-08.
On one hand, you have my incumbent opponent Rob Menendez Jr., and everything that comes with him being in office — business-as-usual politics, corporate backers, corrupt machine politics, and a lack of real representation.
On the other hand, you have our grassroots team made up of dedicated supporters who want and deserve more from their elected officials. Our campaign is built by and for the many, not the few.
It’s a choice about how we as Democrats should run campaigns and who we serve once in office.
