John, I just signed the bill to repeal the Civil War-era abortion ban.

Thankfully, that barbaric ban is off the books for good now. I’m glad the state legislature answered my calls to act, but I need you to know:

Arizonans are still living under an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest, and no regard for pregnancy complications.

That’s because an abortion ban passed by current extreme Republican lawmakers is in effect right now — and they have no plans to repeal that one.

It’s clear that more needs to be done before reproductive freedom is fully restored in Arizona, and the best way to get rid of abortion bans once and for all is by passing the abortion ballot initiative this November.
