[link removed] Crime and the Igarapé Institute present a comprehensive investigation into environmental crime in Bolivia's Amazon and the actors driving it. This seven-part series, the product of more than a year of interviews and field research, reveals how forest fires, agribusiness, and the gold mining boom have led to the highest levels of deforestation in Bolivia’s history.

Using multiple case studies, the investigation reveals how these powerful economic sectors have used legal loopholes and contradictory regulations to expand their influence deeper and deeper into the Bolivian Amazon.
