John,

One year ago today, the Writers Guild of America called a strike, shining a spotlight on the existential crisis facing writers in the streaming era. It was a powerful display of solidarity and a reminder of the vital role that unions play in protecting the economic livelihoods of millions of Americans.

That's why I'm fighting in Congress to pass the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. This landmark legislation is one of the most significant pro-worker bills in the past 80 years, and it's long overdue. We need to make it easier for working people, regardless of race and ethnicity, to unite in strong unions and raise their voices.

On today's anniversary of the WGA strike, will you sign the petition calling on Congress to bring the PRO Act to a vote? We need to stand up for workers' rights to grow the middle class and defend our right to organize.

Unions have been instrumental in securing revolutionary improvements for workers, from the 40-hour workweek to workplace standards and breaks. But the fight for workers' rights is far from over.

This year, we've seen collective bargaining come under attack by big corporations from Trader Joe's to SpaceX. Frontline workers who have kept our nation afloat during the pandemic are organizing to secure the protection and compensation they deserve. We cannot let them down.

As a co-sponsor of the PRO Act, I'm committed to fighting for union workers and delivering the rights, pay, and respect they deserve. But I can't do it alone.

Sign the petition today to demand Congress bring the PRO Act to a vote. Will you add your name next to mine?
